On October 8-th and 9-th 2018 the MURAB team has met at the University of Twente for the biannual project meeting.

The first operative setup, including the breast biopsy robotic system and the interventional table, was completed and tested on breast phantoms. The request for clinical trials will be submitted to the The Dutch Association of Medical Research Ethics Committees.

The Consortium partners have established the integration of the full system towards the end of the third year – 2018, so that the last year of the project – 2019-  will be dedicated to the clinical tests and to the realization of the first MURAB commercial prototype.

The consortium members agreed to contact patient organizations and Breast Cancer Foundations to raise the interest on the MURAB revolutionary technology and also to have feedback to improve the MURAB outcome.
